WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

CHAPTER 1: GENERAL WARRANTY COVERAGE

✅ What is covered:
We guarantee that all stone products provided by Marble Design Project FZ LLC – Belgica Stone Art are:

  • Fabricated according to the specifications validated and approved by the client (shop drawings, BOQ, samples).

  • Delivered free from major structural cracks, fabrication defects, or dimensional errors.

  • Installed according to professional practices by qualified personnel.

  • Protected using premium-grade sealer (for natural stone) or appropriate bonding materials (for engineered stone).

📌 Duration: This warranty is valid for 12 months from the date of delivery or installation, whichever comes first.

CHAPTER 2: NATURAL STONE – WARRANTY CONDITIONS

✅ What is covered:

  • Breakage caused by manufacturing or installation error (excluding site misuse).

  • De-bonding due to improper installation (if installed by our team).

  • Excessive surface deterioration beyond normal wear-and-tear (subject to evaluation).

  • Major fissures or cracks due to internal slab flaws (visible after installation).

❌ What is NOT covered:

  • Color variations, veining differences, or shade irregularities (natural characteristics).

  • Natural pores, fissures, or surface variations inherent to the stone.

  • Water marks, oil stains, acidic etching (from lemon, vinegar, wine, detergents, etc.).

  • Cracks or chips from heavy impact, heat shock, or structural movement.

  • Damage caused by cleaning with bleach, ammonia, acids, or non-stone-safe products.

  • Misuse such as cutting directly on the surface, stepping or sitting on countertops, or placing hot pans without protection.

⚠️ Important notes:

  • Leathered, Flamed, or Sandblasted finishes may show irregular textures; this is not a defect.

  • Polished surfaces may dull or etch over time, especially in kitchens or wet areas. This is a maintenance matter, not a defect.

CHAPTER 3: ENGINEERED STONE – WARRANTY CONDITIONS

(Quartz, Porcelain Slabs, Sintered Stone)

✅ What is covered:

  • Delamination or surface separation due to production faults.

  • Surface cracks caused by fabrication flaws.

  • Edge chipping or bonding failure (if installed by our team).

❌ What is NOT covered:

  • Damage from direct heat (placing hot pots directly on surface).

  • Scratches or chips from sharp/heavy objects.

  • Edge damage from poorly designed sink or hob cutouts (if not validated by us).

  • Discoloration or yellowing due to UV exposure (quartz only).

  • Breakage due to weak cabinetry or substructures.

  • Warping or bending from incorrect storage or third-party installation.

⚠️ Important notes:

  • Quartz is not heat resistant — always use trivets or thermal pads.

  • Porcelain/Sintered stone is more heat- and scratch-resistant but must be installed following manufacturer guidelines (reinforcements, joint spacing, supports).

  • Avoid abrasive pads, metal scrubbers, or strong chemicals.

CHAPTER 4: CONDITIONS FOR WARRANTY VALIDATION

The warranty is only valid if:

  • The product was installed by our team or an authorized subcontractor.

  • The material has not been altered, cut, or moved after installation.

  • Our care & maintenance guidelines have been followed.

  • The client notifies us in writing within 5 working days of discovering an issue.

If a defect is confirmed, Marble Design Project FZ LLC – Belgica Stone Art reserves the right to:

  • Repair or replace the defective item.

  • Provide an alternative stone/finish if the original is unavailable.

  • Reject warranty claims where damage results from misuse or third-party actions.

CHAPTER 5: LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
  • Liability is limited to the value of the product in question.

  • We are not responsible for indirect damages (loss of use, penalties, delays, etc.).

  • Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original client and project site.

CHAPTER 6: MAINTENANCE & CLEANING ADVICE

Each client receives a care guide upon delivery. Key points include:

  • Use pH-neutral, stone-safe cleaners only.

  • Reseal natural stone every 12–24 months, depending on use and porosity.

  • Avoid cutting, dragging metal, or placing hot cookware directly on surfaces.

  • Always use trivets, coasters, and chopping boards.

  • Wipe spills quickly to prevent staining, especially with acidic or oily substances.

  • Proper care and maintenance are the client’s responsibility. Failure to follow these guidelines may void the warranty.

In Summary:

Our warranty ensures that Belgica Stone Art products are delivered and installed with professional standards. Natural variations are part of stone’s beauty, and correct care is essential to preserve its performance and elegance.
